On December 14, 2019, Riverside Alumni Chapter held its annual "Shop with a Kappa," event in partnership with Target located at 3520 Tyler Street, in Riverside, CA. This charity event provided each of the 45 children with $100 to shop at Target and pick out their own items. Many of the Fraternity's members assisted in chaperoning the children through the store while they chose their own gifts. Along with the Fraternity members, there was a large group of the Fraternity's Kappa League youth also guiding the children with their gift choices. Target generously provided a monetary donation of $250 and snacks for all the children. The Target store manager and staff did an excellent job greeting the group and getting everyone through the cashiers lines in a smooth fashion.
