On Sunday, June 14, 2020, Kappa League of the Riverside Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., conducted their annual End of Year Scholarship Program in the park at the Martin Luther King, Jr. statue across from Riverside City Hall. The Fraternity awarded seven $1,000 scholarships to seven deserving high school seniors. Kappa League Chairman, Louis Winder, spoke to scholarship recipients, their families and friends, as well as numerous fraternity members that were in attendance. Chairman Winder chose the location because it symbolized our ongoing fight for equality, social justice and civil rights. Riverside Alumni Chapter Polemarch Zack Stewart also addressed the audience praising the scholarship recipients for their efforts and thanking fraternity members for their vital role as mentors. He also remarked on the outstanding and successful Kappa League program, lead by Chairman Winder, which continues to assist families in the development of young men, who are able to achieve higher education while being well adjusted and confident.
